Each insurer is different so please read carefully when booking! However, we recommend the policy which covers costs if you fall ill with COVID-19 prior to or during your trip. Please note that most insurers won’t cover self-driven cancellations due to fear of travel even if travel advice (not legal restrictions) change.
WeRoad advises you to look out for the below in your policy:
- Cancellation due to COVID-19 diagnosis within 14 days of departure
- Emergency medical expense or necessary repatriation due to COVID-19 diagnosis during your trip
- Accommodation and transport costs if an extended stay is required due to COVID-19 diagnosis
- Denial aboard transport for exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms
